Ten years of the Triple Welt

our own unique classic

Developed in our factory and first introduced in 2014, it features a sole construction that beautifully highlights the famous Goodyear Welted method of shoemaking. The technique we use to create the illusion of a shoe with three welts is a closely guarded secret. Needless to say, it is the ultimate in shoemaking craftsmanship and now has a cult following, with many of its devotees having multiple pairs in their wardrobe.

In the 10 years since its launch, we have used the Triple Welt on many upper designs and different lasts, from the original Fred and Archie, through to simple Derbys and Oxfords and even Loafers and Hikers. Throughout this anniversary year there will be a number of exciting new designs and materials launched month by month, so watch this space.

Neighborhood’s Shinsuke Takizawa and THE FOURNESS’ Kazuki Kuraishi collaborate with Tim in creating a limited collection of Triple Welt boots.

Responding to the popularity of our hand-apinted leather, we introduced it into the Triple Welt range.

Triple Welt introduced to the Women's Collection

Following the success of the men’s collection we introduced the Triple Welt to our womens collection and never looked back.

We collaborated with Rag and Bone who took some of our existing styles and put their own spin on them to be featured in a larger collection of shoes.

An exclusive boot was made for Mr Porter based on an old flight boot with a detachable shearling cuff.

We began our Rack collection which are a limited edition small run of fun and interesting shoes which we kicked off with the first ever one being a triple welt. This particular one was made from a leopard print hair on hide.

For our 3^rd Rack, we experimented with some more interesting materials and put them on the Triple Welt. Made in a small run of 12 pairs per sku.

Friend of the brand brought his pair of well-worn Triple Welts to us as asked if we could repaired them for him – of course we said yes as we have a brilliant repairs team at our factory who made them good as new and Jordan came up to capture some of the process.

For the 6^th Rack, we took our longest best-selling boot Fred and gave him a Triple Welt, as well as the women’s version Frederique. As you can imagine these didn’t last long before they were sold out.

Following the success of the Fred Triple welt, for our 7^th Rack project we took our famous hiker and made them on a Triple Welt with cobalt blue accents.

Not only has the Triple Welt become one of our consistently top selling styles, it has also become a staple for press and stylists to call in.

Yuketen

We collaborated with the great Yuki Matsuda of Yuketen to create his version of a Triple Welt – a 50’s style creeper.

Craig green

For the celebration of the Triple Welt’s 10 Year Anniversary and also the 10 Year Anniversary of us working with Craig Green, we collaborated on a limited collection of styles, including 2 Triple Welts for his SS25 show.
