When Browns came to us with a project to team up with 3 up and coming menswear designers, we couldn’t turn down the opportunity. Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta of Eckhaus Latta, Foday Dumbuya of LABRUM and Spencer Phipps of Phipps each took an iconic Grenson classic style and put their own twist on it.

Eckhaus Latta took our Milo Chelsea boot and designed them in a bright yellow hide with black spots. Labrum took one of our most popular and oldest styles the Fred boot. Dumbuya talks about getting inspiration from his ‘Sierra Leone heritage and growing up in London and the boot is an amalgamation of how these two worlds collide in terms of culture, community and values’. Finally Phipps have taken a classic derby boot and taken a slightly more functional approach yet truly innovative in menswear fashion.

Tim said: ‘this was such an exciting project for us because working with exciting young designers and getting their take on what we do is not only fun but also inspiring and the ultimate result is some really amazing shoes’.
